Just 5 mins from the bus station, the medieval accommodation is as cosy as the little hamlet. Jakub has really helped us with all the necessary information and allowed us for an early check-in. The town center is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. The breakfast was also good. P.S.: If you are staying in some of the more modern properties around the town square, you will need to drag your luggage through the cobbled paths up and down the terrain, and that might not be very easy.

Z ubytování jsme nadšení. Příjemný pokoj, prostorný, útulný. Matrace velice příjemná, okna ke splavu, jinak totální ticho. Mimo davy turistů, s příjemným personálem. Snídaně byly bohaté a vždy čerstvé. Vřele doporučujeme, pokud hledáte pěkné ubytování, za rozumné peníze i s možností parkování.

Romana and her daughter run this pension. They both are very kind and welcoming. Our room was very clean and cozzy. Breakfast was very good for a pension. Location is perfect! Walking distance to every atraction but quiet at the same time.Highly recomended!

We spent 3 nights at Pension Barbakan and would definitely go back. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The location is great; we were able to walk everywhere in the town. I can't say enough good things about this place. It is a great value.

It made me memorable because of its breakfast service, the outdoor area of the restaurant has a very nice river view which made you have a good start every day. Moreover, its staffs were very nice, they knew we would check-out at the so early morning, then they actively well prepared some simple breakfast for us in the evening before the day we left. You know, it made us so warm. I stayed at its Deluxe Double Room, the size and cleanness of it was nice although the facilities were old-style.

We stayed for 2 days in Pension Barbakan. We arrived early on the first day and still wasn't check-in time yet but the friendly reception gave us a room. The location of the pension is just before entering the town (right before the main bridge in to the town) and 1 minute walk to the scenic terrace with a amazing view. My room was on the first floor and it is quiet. The breakfast has great variety and fresh fruits. Great value considering the price of this cozy pension.

Spent one night at the Pension Barbakan. Too short! Fantasic large room, great location. I recommend doing the rafting on the river, which you can rent just a few feet away from the hotel's door. Hotel staff attentive and room clean. Beautiful views of the river and the bridge. Highly recommend!

Nice location, classy rooms. One of the best places to stay in the Czech Republic for a quiet romantic break. Cesky Krumlov is getting too touristy, but when you stay here, you are in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Go for the deluxe rooms, real nice.
