Ein wirklich wunderschöner Platz dessen spektakulärstes Gebäude das Rathaus ist, auch der Samson- Brunnen in mitten des Platzes ist sehr sehr sehenswert.

A very large and nice square with a lot of beautiful buildings around and a fountain in the middle. We first did some steps around and took some photos. After that we sat in one of lovely cafes and took a cup of coffee while watching people going here and there.

Попадаешь немного в другое временное и пространственное измерение. Создаётся ощущение, что здесь можно провести много времени, только разглядывая архитектуру каждого домика. Или впечатляясь фонтаном. Или прогуливаясь по аркадным галереям.

Nice town square with lots of businesses around surrounding it. Black Tower which dates to around 1555 right there. Nice center monument. There is a clock on a building that played nice long chimes at noon. Not sure if it does that every hour.

Český Budejovice was a day trip for us. This square was not on our to see list, we just chanced upon it on our way to dinner, and very glad we did. It is very pretty and peaceful, not touristy at all. We wished we had more time to wander around.

Příjemné náměstí, které za pěkného počasí přímo nabízí posezení u kašny. Velmi pěkné je i při pohledu z Černé věže.

Wir haben uns außer der Budweiser Brauerei nichts vorgestellt und waren mehr als positiv überrascht über diese tolle, gut erhalte Bausubstanz in der Innenstadt von Budweis. Viele gastronomische Angebote nach den Besichtigungen der vielen schönen Straßenzüge um den großen Marktplatz machen es auch kulinarisch interessant.

Krásné náměstí i přililehlé uličky komorního centra jihočeské meropole za návštěvu jistě stojí. Nádherná radnice i kašna uprostřed čtvercového náměsti, pěkná podlobí.

Big and quiet main square with Samson's fountain in the middle of it. A nice place to have a cup of coffee, or a beer. After all, Ceske Budejovice is the hometown of Budweiser beer :)

I have spent a great deal of time in Budejovice over the past decade or so, and it is absolutely amazing how the town has been renewed and cleaned up. It used to be a bit gritty and industrial, and served mainly as a gateway to Krumlov and southern Bohemia, but now it is well worth your time to spend a day or two exploring before you move on. The architecture is varied and attractive, and the town is a great way to view a slice of everyday life in the Czech Republic.
