Art lover! Do yourself a favour and save a whole day of your stay in Prague to spend it all exploring the 3 wide levels of the Trade Fair Palace. I strongly recommend you resist the temptation to search for pictures of the gallery's permanent collection before visiting. The surprise effect you will get 8 works of art into this unassuming, under-advertised building will make your visit twice as memorable.

We enjoyed this museum so much 8 years ago that we wanted to return today. We bought a ticket to see everything for 540kc and we could return for three days. We took tram 17 to the doorstep. The exhibits were very eclectic with something for everything. I was surprised with all of the famous artists exhibited in the museum - Monet, Rodin, Picasso, Sisley, Pissarro, Rousseau, Toulouse Lautrec, Mucha, many more. The watercolor exhibit was also beautiful. Worth every minute.

Really pleasantly surprised by our visit here particularly by the well-laid-out and informative permanent exhibitions. What really stood out was the range and breadth of the local artwork and how the story was told from the end of the 18th Century up to modern times. Not every piece was to our liking but there were plenty of pieces from local artists that offered their interpretation of some of the major themes and movements that occurred over the time period. Worth checking out.

Galleria ben organizzata, con sale ampie che ti consentono di tornare sui tuoi passi quando serve. Terzo e quarto piano con esposizioni di arte cecoslovacca ed europea ben allestite per tematiche e periodo. Per chi ama il modernismo, a partire dall’edificio, è una visita che davvero vale.

Overwhelming collection of Czech and other European art from the past 150 years or so. Enormous space in a former Trade Fair complex. You will need 3-5 hours to tour this place. Fantastic. Highly recommended.

On four floor fantastic statues and paintings from the last 150 years are showed. Special exhibitions taking place regularly. I was overwhelmed by this exhibition. Only a few people as visitors I could really enjoy the exhibition.

I went to view Mucha's Slav Epic (which was housed there at the time) and got elatedly blind-sided by the shear quantity and quality of this beautifully curated museum. A remarkable collection when I viewed it in 2013. Paintings contemporaneous with periods of art from Western Europe are every bit as compelling and well-crafted as the familiar favorites we westerners grew up with.
